A CLASSIC IN RUSTIC STYLER DECOR

The most natural and handmade materials that we can choose for our house are the terracotta floors. Although they have traditionally been present in rustic and camper environments, today they can also be chosen in more contemporary spaces, with a perfect combination between modern and classic. The secret of your success? Its timeless beauty, fruit of a naturalness without limits.
The terracotta floors are a classic in rustic style decor. There is no town house that boasts that it does not have a good mud floor on the ground floor (for the top floor the star material has always been wood). The truth is that the earthy colors, natural and heterogeneous texture and simple finishes make this material a classic of rustic pavements. Actually there is a new design line that use this type of material to create a new flooring look mixed with modern ones.

One of the characteristics of this material is its heterogeneous appearance, which is the result of the craftsmanship that defines the entire manufacturing process. You are able to create art with the terracotta tiles.
Although the manufacturing process of the terracotta tiles comes from old, there are still companies, like us, Sebastian Perez SL with more than 100 years of experience that are dedicated to manufacture this type of products. There are several ways of doing this, but in general terms the process consists in putting the clay in molds previously manufactured with the shape of the tile and to cook it in special furnaces. We work with a special formula that make us different from other manufactures. Our secret is in the clay, in the way that we make the clay and of course the kind, that you only can find it in the Murcia region, South Spain. The clay we use is so different to the one you find in other countries like Mexico, Chile or Asia.

Together with the hand of man, these are the three elements used to manufacture our products. The variety of our formats creates combinations of striking colour and beauty between different pieces of terracotta, terracotta and glazed pieces, terracotta and marble, terracotta and natural stone, etc.

This type of totally manual manufacture gives the clay tiles their characteristic rustic appearance and irregular texture. When some part of the process is mechanized, or in those more industrialized productive processes, the result is clay tiles of appearance and texture more homogeneous and that is not very good for that art you should create.
